Ken Brown presented his psychedelic ‘Light Show Films’ (1967-69) at the Centre Pompidou as part of the International Documentary Film Festival 2011. Brown introduced the films screening by saying to the crowd ‘I hope you all remembered to bring your bongs.’ The films were originally produced over a two and a half year period for the ‘Boston Tea Party.’ They were part of the large tapestry of light which were used as backdrops for the music that came through Boston in the late 1960’s, such as Jimi Hendrix, LED Zepplin, The velvet Underground etc. For more visit Purple Diary.
